Toyota Levin export to Ghana

Ghana requires left-hand-drive vehicles and bars imports of cars over ten years old, so every Levin we supply — model years 2022 to 2026, all LHD — fits the rules. Cars arrive by sea at Tema or Takoradi.

Why is the Levin a good fit for Ghana?

Toyota is one of the most trusted brands among Ghanaian car buyers and taxi drivers. The Levin offers that reputation with lower fuel use: the hybrid suits Accra and Kumasi traffic, while the 1.5L petrol keeps the purchase price low.

What are Ghana's key import rules?

  • Left-hand drive only: Ghana does not register right-hand-drive vehicles. All Levin units we supply are LHD.
  • Age limit: the Customs (Amendment) Act, 2020 restricts imports of vehicles more than ten years old, as well as salvaged vehicles. Our 2022–2026 Levin units are well inside this limit.
  • Duties and levies are assessed by the Ghana Revenue Authority customs division.

How are cars shipped to Ghana?

We ship by container or Ro-Ro to Tema, Ghana's main port near Accra, or to Takoradi. Containers are cost-effective for small mixed orders; Ro-Ro suits larger dealer and fleet shipments.
